Colin Yorkston was elected to represent the Preston/Seton/Gosford ward in a by-election on 20 January 2022. This by-election took place following the sad passing of Cllr Willie Innes who had served the area with such distinction for so long.

Prestonpans born and bred, Colin works as a secondary school teacher and has been closely involved with the local parent councils in Prestonpans for many years. He is a also a founding member of the Preston Lodge Learning Foundation.

Colin is also the Chair of East Lothian CLP and was the agent for the Preston/Seton/Gosford candidates at the 2017 local election.
